The Nokia N96 is the successor of the N95 and it brings in addition to a 16GB internal memory, DVB-H TV reciever latest version of Symbian OS. Unfortunately is not as impressive as we had expected in spite of all its amenities.

• Accelerometer
• 3.5 mm audio jack
• TV Out
• FM radio with RDS
• USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0
Main disadvantages:
• Battery you less
• No protection for camera
• Editor of documents leaves much to be desired
• Do not load USB
• The camera is very poorly developed
• Price unreasonably high
Unfortunately the N96 design chapter suffers a lot, most modifications to the N95 is not just successful, the only good thing was the display 2.8 “QVGA resolution. Below the screen we find no less than 11 buttons crammed into a small space, keys C and Symbian are located very low which makes them pretty hard push. No control keys for music are no better, being very flat and do not know if they press or not. In the back room 5MPx find which unfortunately has no protection and a kickstand to keep the phone on its side. The speakers are in the bottom right corner and left corner, find the top ON / OFF button is small and hard hit, and audio jack on the bottom we find the microUSB connector and charger that just as N95 has no protection. On the right side volume keys and find the camera that is extremely difficult to use, and the left slot for the microSD card.
Nokia N96 running the latest version of Symbian (9.3) on S60v3.2 interface with Feature Pack 2. It brings so many improvements in design and performance as compared to N95. Unfortunately replacing the processor with 332 MHz to 264 MHz least one was not moving at all inspired, feeling very much difference. A good thing would be to increase storage space to 16GB that allows users to put an impressive amount of information on the phone (video, audio, photos, documents, etc.)..
Audio player is excellent, the N96 supports almost all audio files will be very difficult to find a song that was not playing. The player has the same sort of songs by artist, genre, album, etc. and an equalizer and this dedicated keys make listening to music more readily available. Audio quality not so good but suffered from relatively high levels of distortion, but what is right is better than the N95. Video player is excellent and kickstand and large screen make viewing the film’s a pleasant experience. This allows capture of DVB-H digital TV signals in the area where you are. Thus N96 also has an FM radio and television to complete multimedia experience. Media Gallery is much better than its predecessor.
5MPx room to take pictures at maximum resolution of 2592×1944 and is equipped autofocus and dual LED flash. The interface is the same as the N95 8GB but unfortunately the pictures is poor and the shutter button is almost unusable and do everything possible to escape bad pictures despite all room facilities. Instead quality video filming is impeccable.
Finally N96 phone remains somewhat controversial to bring improvements in terms of the software, but dressed in a housing with a design too plastic and not say too elegant and too many mistakes in terms of user friendly character ( except for viewing movies) makes use of a work phone itself instead of something fun.
