Nokia N73 is probably one of the most popular and most popular N series phones probably due to price in relation to facilities available.
Key features:
• 4 band GSM, three 3G bands
• Dimensions: 110 * 49 * 19 mm, 116 g
• TFT display 2.4 “240 * 320 resolution and 256,000 colors
• 3D stereo speakers
• Bluetooth 2.0, Infrared, USB 2.0
• 42 MB internal memory expandable via a miniSD card up to 4GB
• 220 MHz processor and 64 MB RAM
• 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus (video CIF), secondary VGA camera for video calls
• Player MP3/AAC/MPEG4
• Stereo FM radio
• Document Viewer
The main disadvantage would be relatively small processor that makes it hard sometimes functioning phone.
Nokia N73 phone is a classic design, the front room of them located secondary screen 2.4 “and alpha numeric keypad and the back room 3.2MPx mechanism is hidden under the” slide “.
At the top we find the ignition button / profile and speaker and the bottom connector for USB / headphone, charger connector, instead of miniSD card and the second speaker. On the left side we find only Infrared and your right side is a little crowded: the volume buttons, camera and media gallery.
Keys are pressed very easy, very easy posting especially because T9′s in Romanian, the scroll goes easy even tends to wear out over time, and the screen is well calibrated in terms of both contrast and brightness, maybe with a less powerful sun. Overall N73 is a very well built phone.
But let’s get on to the software. The N73 runs on Symbian S60v3 and has many applications, software is moving relatively well, but when too many applications open tends to move a little slow.
3.2 megapixel camera is hidden behind a slide mechanism which is used to start or stop the camera and have Carl-Zeiss lens, LED flash and autofocus. Shutter button is on the side of the phone so the pictures are like a camera. The camera can take pictures at maximum resolution of 2048 * 1530 with a picture of about 500 kb. Room has various shooting modes: from macromode approach is to do well in sports, ideal for moving objects. Unfortunately not so good flash, pictures taken at night coming out a little blurry and look like oil paintings.
Media Gallery is very well done, both pictures and movies are seen at 90 degrees from normal screen, like when making pictures. Even if the screen is not big movies will be seen quite well. The audio quality is very good especially the Music Edition version where both headphones and speakers play music very closely.
In terms of connectivity the Nokia N73 is enough: Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Infrared, 3G. Unfortunately, lack of Wi-Fi site means internet browsing will be done only via EDGE or HSDPA. But in areas where there is 3G N73 is moving very well on the web pages load quickly and navigation is easy to scroll through the site and a virtual mouse.
In conclusion N73 phone is so versatile pretty good, even if it does not compare with older brothers: N95 96.97 is ideal for those who want a good phone at all but will not give a lot of money for it.
